Event Information

The 2004 NHK Trophy is the third competition out of six international senior events of the ISU Grand Prix Series of Figure Skating for Ladies, Men, Pairs and Ice Dancing. The competition is organized by the Japan Skating Federation (JSF) and co-organized by the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK). The 2004 NHK Trophy will be held at gNagoya Rainbow Arenah in Nagoya City, locates mid-part of main island from November 4th to 7th, 2004 which is the third time event in Nagoya City since 1995.

 


General Regulations
The invitation is addressed to selected ISU Members to enter participants in the 2004 NHK Trophy.
The 2004 NHK Trophy will be conducted
in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2004 edition, the ISU Special Regulations Single & Pair Skating, 2004 edition, the ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing, 2004 edition, and all relevant ISU Communications.
The 2004 NHK Trophy is only open to Competitors who belong to an ISU Member and qualify with regard to eligibility according to ISU Constitutions and General Regulations Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in ISU Rule 108, paragraph 2 and they meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirement in ISU Rule 109, and ISU Communication No. 1117 or any update of this Communication. Entries can only be made through the ISU Members.
The Announcement of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2004/2005 is valid also for the 2004 NHK Trophy.

Free Skating

In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004, Rule 320 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the gwell balanced programh and the element value.
Duration: 4 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.

Free Skating

In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Single and Pair Skating 2004, Rule 321 and the respective ISU Communication. Special attention should be paid to the gwell balanced programh and the element values.
Duration: 4 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.

Ice Dancing Compulsory Dance

Only one Compulsory Dance will be skated, which is the

Original Dance

In accordance with Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 509 and all pertinent ISU Communications. Type:      „Rhythm Combinationh
Any 2 or 3 rhythms of the following: Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep and Charleston as described in the „Ice Dance Music Rhythms Booklet and Compact Disc 1995.
The tempo of the Slow Foxtrot should not exceed 32 measures of 4 beats per minute
Duration: 2 min., 30 sec., +/- 10 sec.
ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 509 paragraph 2 (required elements) must be observed.

Free Dance

In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 510 and all pertinent ISU Communication. For the value of the required elements and components see the respective ISU Communication.
Duration: 4 min. +/- 10 sec.
ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2004, Rule 510 paragraph 2 (required elements) must be observed.
