Event Information

SBC CUP in OKAYA, the I.S.U. Junior Grand Prix Event, is organized in the City of Okaya, where the Asian Cup was held in 1995.

Okaya City is located by the Suwa Lake also at the mouth of Tenryu River, one of the most rapid-flowing river in Japan with wonderful view surrounded by beautiful mountains. It can be reached from Nagoya International Airport (Nagoya) within 2 hours 30 minutes by bus. Japan Skating Federation will meet and arrange the round trip from Nagoya to Okaya for all participants.

The Event Arena, Yamabiko Skating Complex is World Standard size 60m x 30m ice rink, heated artificial Arena.

The official Hotel, Okaya Park Hotel is located about 15 minutes driving distance to the Main Arena.

 


The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating SBC Cup will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2002, the Special Regulations Figure Skating 2002 and Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2002 and the relevant ISU Communications.

Participation in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating is open to all skaters who belong to an ISU Member, as per Rule 109, paragraph 1, and qualify with regard to eligibility, according to Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 2 and they meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in Rule 109, paragraphs 2 through 5 and ISU Communication 1117. With reference to the "Announcement of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2003/2004" the list of ISU Members invited for participation with the quota in each discipline as mentioned in the annex of this announcement must be observed.

In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU General Regulations and ISU Communication 1117, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.

Composition:    In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2002, Rule 509 and all pertinent ISU Communications No.1209.

 Music: Any 2 or 3 rhythms of the following: Swing, Jive, Boogie Woogie, Jitterbug, Rockfn Roll and/or Blues (not Twist or Disco). Any gSwingh music is permitted as described in the gIce Dance Music Rhythms Booklet and Compact Disc 1995h, for dances which originated in the period 1920fs to 1950fs. Modern versions of the music are acceptable

Vocal music is permitted.

Free Dance

In accordance with ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing, Rule 510 and all pertinent ISU Communications, including 1209.
