Event Information

   The 2000 NHK Trophy is the last competition of six international senior events of the ISU Grand Prix Series of Figure Skating for Ladies, Men, Pairs and Ice Dancing. The Competition, organized by Japan Skating Federation (JSF) and co-organized by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) will be held in Asahikawa, Japan from November 29th to December 3rd, 2000. The venue of the competition is the same venue of the 1990 NHK Trophy.

 


   The Competition will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2000, the ISU Special Regulations Figure Skating 2000, the ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2000 and the ISU Communications. The Technical Announcement for the "ISU Grand Prix Series 2000/2001" will be valid for the 2000 NHK Trophy. All competitors, referees and judges must be eligible persons with ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2000, Rule 102 and must be entered through their national association.

Range of tempos and time signatures: Should be in accordance with the Ice Dance Rhythm Booklet and Compact Disc. (a Foxtrot, therefore, should not exceed 128 beat/minute)
Free Dance 4 min., duration in accordance with ISU Special Regulations Ice Dancing 2000, Rule 510 and all pertinent ISU Communications.

    City of Asahikawa, the host city of the 1990 NHK Trophy is located northern end of Japan, It is called "the city of sculptures", which has various sculptures in the park, on the bridges, shopping streets.
    The organizing committee will arrange the domestic transportation for your team.
